Surface Factor describes how much evaporative surface area an OMIUS piece creates compared with the area of skin it covers. OMIUS Surface Factor 7 (SF7) cooling pieces create seven times the evaporative surface area of the skin they cover, about 40% more than SF5 (original OMIUS cooling pieces), giving water more room to evaporate and increasing cooling potential in the heat. A complete SF7 set of 20 pieces weighs only 10 grams more than SF5 and fits the same grids across current OMIUS wearables. Snaps onto the silicone grid of any OMIUS headband, cap or visor, zero tools. Once installed, the difference between SF5 and SF7 is barely noticeable. Headgear sold separately.
