Blind Basket

The Meraki blind basket is a solid stainless steel insert used for cleaning rather than brewing. By blocking the normal outlet, it allows a compatible espresso machine’s cleaning cycle to circulate water—and approved cleaner when instructed—through the group system. Install it in the portafilter and follow the exact backflushing procedure in the machine manual. A blind basket is not a coffee basket and should never be used to pull a shot.
