Fine Weave Baskets

Handmade of sisal. Sourced from a US based brand whose mission c ombine modern design with traditional techniques to create mindful home and lifestyle products. They create opportunities for six women’s co-ops and several independent artisans across Africa. The makers are provided with skills training, market access, fair pay, a collaborative work environment, and a path for economic independence. These sisal, woven baskets are handmade by a weaving cooperative in southeastern Kenya. The women hand-dye the sisal fibers and weave them into these beautiful works of art. These are woven from a thinner twine, requiring a higher skill to weave, but making them more intricate. Use this basket as a planter, for storage, or as decor. Each is unqiue.
