Bosnian Pine

Bosnian Pine (Pinus heldreichii) is a single flush, 2-needle pine that responds to techniques similar to Mugo and Scots Pines. It backbuds very well in response to candle and other pruning techniques. Native to southeastern Europe's mountains, this incredibly cold-hardy pine thrives in challenging conditions while maintaining compact growth. The bark develops attractive plates with age, adding to its appeal. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive.
