Sarvet Yarn Guide Ring

The Sarvet yarn guide ring is a brilliant tool for yarn crafts like knitting to keep multiple yarns organized in their respective places. Sarvet, as you may have guessed, means antlers in Finnish. The ring has five separate spots for yarns. When knitting with two or three yarns, you can pick how far apart the yarns are by placing them either next to each other or by leaving empty spaces between them. The ring can also be used to keep a single yarn up off your finger so it doesn’t rub against the skin. How to choose the right size ring? Currently available sizes are 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 mm These sizes are the inside diameter of the ring. When choosing the size, note that the ring is not held at the base of the finger like a normal ring but where you are used to holding the yarn when tensioning your yarn. Therefore, the size of the ring is significantly smaller than the ring you would normally wear. To determine the size you need, cut a strip of paper approx. 5 mm wide and wrap it tightly around your finger. Mark where the overlap is to get the circumference of your finger.
