Largely self taught he is best known for his still life and landscapes with a cubist influence very much with in his own style. Wikström’s had early solo exhibitions in Skara and Mjölby in 1947, Örebro (1948), Karlskoga (1949), Expo Aleby in Stockholm (1950), Galleries S in Stockholm (1962 )and in Norrtälje in 1964. Together with Eric Harry Olson, he exhibited in Kalmar in 1949 and with Alf Wesström in Eksjö in 1951.
