Fall Flowers Memo Notebook Set

Spring flowers get all the press, but the purple coneflower, false foxglove, and common chicory are all still here for us when the days get shorter and colder. Made with Jennifer Farrell of Starshaped Press to draw the trio in the decorative style of early-20th-century. To emulate the texture and finish of dusty, well-worn cloth books from more than a hundred years ago, the notebook set is printed the covers with three subtle metallic inks on a “burlap” finish. The inside back covers features a bit of data about each flower, plus a scaled-down list of Practical Applications. The notebook papers are ruled in light blue-gray, on 60#T Domtar Lynx paper stock. Cover: Mohawk Mosaic 100# C “Midnight Blue” in Burlap, with a thick, brute force application of “Coneflower Mauve” and “Deep Denim” soy-based Superior inks. Innards: Domtar Lynx Opaque 60#T “White,” with a fine, 1-color application of “Autumn Sky” soy-based Superior ink.
