Block Printing Fabric Workshop

Put your own stamp of creativity on your tote bag or tea towel! Have fun getting your hands dirty - this workshop is the perfect introduction to the art of block printing, Rebecca (our Chief Crafting Officer) will guide you through the process of carving a rubber block to create stamps or blocks that can then printed onto cloth to create and endless array of personalised items to share with your friends and family. In this workshop participants will design and carve their own simple block design and then practise with it on paper before using it to create their own block printed linen tea towel or cotton tote bag (select when you book). What you'll learn: How to design a simple block print, What tools are used for block printing and how to use them, How to safely carve your own piece of rubber Techniques and tips for successful block printing.
