#731 Vintage African Namji Fertility Beaded Doll 20" H

This vintage African Namji Fertility Beaded Doll, skillfully made in Cameroon, features glass trade beads and cowrie shells mounted on a black wood stand. Measuring 20” tall, 7” wide, and 4.5” deep, it is celebrated as one of Africa’s most exquisite dolls. Meticulously carved from solid hardwood, Namji girls traditionally name, nurture, and carry these dolls on their backs as part of their preparation for motherhood.
