Nutmeg is the shelled, dried seed of the plant 'Myristica fragrans' . Nutmeg is an incredibly intense spice with a strong and distinctive aroma. It is nutty and slightly sweet as well as warm. Nutmegs are used for diarrhea, nausea, stomach spasms and pain, and intestinal gas.
