This is a nice big fern bowl that would be perfect as a pottery serving bowl, for Thanksgiving or another holiday as a serving dish. I threw it out of stoneware clay of different colors mixed together (agateware), handbuilt the ferns and handles, trimmed the bottom to form a foot ring, fired it, glazed with transparent green, brown, and clear glazes, and fired again to 2185 F. The glazes are food-safe, and even un-glazed portions are non-porous. Dimensions: This listing is for the one pictured ceramic serving bowl. 3.5 inches tall, approx. 9.8 inches wide including the handles, and the opening is 7.8 inches diameter.
