Elegant , antique interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine and has 5 raised panels on both sides. The door is painted on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine .
