Lot of 3 Antique Vintage Old "City of Chicago Board of Education" SOLID Brass Doorknobs Door Knobs Handles

Gorgeous, original door knobs made by, “Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co.,” during the first half of the previous century. All of the knobs are made of solid cast brass. The reason that we're selling them for such a low price is because they are missing the bases which screw on and lock the connecting rod/spindle in place. Over the Summer, a gentleman in Chicago contacted me asking to buy the knobs he had collected over the years. His email only included the last photo in this listing. Since I wasn't too familiar with these knobs, I assumed that all they needed were knobs and screws in order to sell as pairs. However, I should've asked for a photo showing the under-sides of the knobs. Since they can't be used for their standard purpose without those bases, we are selling them as a lot and hoping to find someone who has a creative mind to re-purpose them: art, coat hooks, cabinet knobs of huge cabinet, etc. Since they need the missing bases in order to secure a spindle (see 2nd to last photo), we didn't include any.
