Beautiful, antique, interior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and painted on both sides. It has 5 raised, horizontal, stacked panels on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.
