The first 4 photos show Door#1, and every 3 photos after that show the next door in the lot. Handsome, antique doors salvaged from a 1930's home in Throop, PA. Each door has a solid pine or Douglas Fir core, covered 1/16" thick heartpine veneers. The doors are stained on both sides and have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, single, recessed (flat) panel design. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the doors. Please note that heartpine is the non-living, core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood.
