"Ember Blossom" Japanique Tapestry

We create our Japanique Tapestries by upcycling what we can when other sections of the garment are beyond repair or rescue. This listing is for a wall hanging tapestry made from a vintage obi belt. Bold and luminous, this tapestry captures the richness of red-orange silk paired with intricate gold weaving and striking florals. The vivid red tones symbolize celebration, good fortune, and vitality in Japanese culture, while the gold accents elevate the piece with a sense of formality and prosperity. The stylized flower, framed within layered patterns, evokes traditional seasonal blooms often associated with beauty and renewal. It comes ready to hang with a sturdy cardboard rod (formerly the cardboard core of a kimono fabric bolt) and cording - both easily removable and replaceable to suit your space. We included another rod at the bottom for added weight but can be removed.
