Handmade from aged bamboo (purple or natural) Comes with a branded cardboard sleeve for travel/storage. and curled to provide great whisking power to create that smooth, foamy matcha. The number of tines (prongs) is optimal for either thick ( koicha ) or thin ( Usucha) matcha. Purple bamboo can vary in appearance.
