Natural Pueblo Leather Cover

Matte, undyed, and it darkens only from your hands Pueblo comes from Badalassi Carlo, and its surface is mechanically brushed rather than polished. There is no shine on it at all — not when it arrives and not after a year. It has a slightly fibrous, dry feel that people either take to immediately or not at all. Natural means undyed. The colour it has is the colour vegetable tanning left it: pale, sandy, a little uneven across the hide. From there it darkens, and the only things that darken it are daylight and the oils from your hands. There is no finish sitting on top to wear through first, so the change is gradual and even rather than patchy — the cover simply becomes a deeper honey month by month. Pueblo also comes a little thinner than our other hides, 2.0–2.2 mm rather than 2.2–2.4. In the hand it feels softer and less architectural, and it breaks in sooner.
