Black Ghost Wax Leather Trifold Cover

Nothing catches in a bag and the block stays shut until you open it. The finish is a pale wax bloom over a deep black hide. Because a trifold puts leather in your hand on three sides, the bloom clears faster here than on a plain cover, and it clears in lines rather than patches: along the fold, down the flap edge, across the spine. Underneath is black with a polish to it, and the contrast against the still-frosted areas is sharp for the first several months. Some covers arrive with scratches already in the wax. This is normal and it is not a fault. The marks are in the wax layer sitting on top; the leather under it is untouched. Press one with a thumb and it blends away.
