Sutherland Welles - Wiping Varnish Sealer The addition of our Interior/Original Polymerized Tung Oil to our protective Resin system allows you to apply as a hand wiped finish, making it very user-friendly just like our Original Formula Polymerized Tung Oil and Botanical Polymerized Tung Oil finishes. The solvent in the Wiping Varnish is VOC exempt, has minimal odor and a slow evaporation rate, allowing for more open time for application prior to set-up and the need to wipe. The Wiping Varnish Sealer is used as the two primer coats in the Wiping Varnish system to help fill the wood pore and enhance grain definition before application of the topcoat lustres. Wiping Varnish Sealer is the base coat for the Wiping Varnish line. It has a very high percentage of Tung Oil that fills the wood pores and provides grain definition. The high Tung Oil content in The Wiping Varnish sealer gives the finish topcoats with their higher resin content more flexibility. After applying two coats of the Wiping Varnish Sealer, complete the finishing process by choosing Low, Medium or High Lustre Wiping Varnish to provide the ultimate sheen and degree of protection desired.
