The Richmond - Saddle Waxy Commander (602)

Boot and Leather This is our classic Richmond pattern built upon the new 602 last. Our Richmond models use a double layer of upper leather to build the cap toe. The upper leather used in this style is the Waxy Commander article from the Charles F. Stead tannery. This boot is now fully leather-lined with vegetable tanned leather. This article has many rugged features to it, including many depths of color along with plenty of texture. Waxy Commander leather is finished on the flesh-side and includes a blend of natural waxes for a uniquely rugged aesthetic. The dyes/colors of the article are blended to compliment the base dying for a rugged appearance with depth of color and texture. Waxy Commander leather is part of C.F. Stead's waterproof line of leathers. Insole Build This boot, along with others beginning their release in the Summer of 2026, will feature our new insole build combination. This includes our standard vegetable tanned bends leather insole, but with more arch support. Additionally, there will be a thicker layer of cork underneath as you might be able to see in the cutaway on the website as well.
