Gwer Nettle scarf

Gwer in Cornish is translated as green. This hand-woven scarf is woven on my floor loom in my studio at Upton Towans where we are snuggly tucked away in the dunes, close to the sea. The scarf colours are in various shades of green, reminding me of the Cornish landscape that I see on the dunes and hedgerows here. Woven in organic nettle and 16/2 linen yarns. The fibres soften with wear, just like wearing in a new pair of boots, then becoming your favourite pair. This scarf will keep you warm and is a lovely addition to your wardrobe with its green natural appeal. T he pattern has a stretchy, crinkled effect woven into the cloth, which adds a natural texture and interest by design. Gwer measures approx. 160 cms x 36 cm plus twisted ends
