Two parts. One problem: your Weber Q only uses a strip of its plate properly. The stock burner is a straight tube. It heats a line down the middle and leaves the rest of the plate to catch up, which it never does. The stock regulator runs one fixed pressure, so your knobs can throttle the flame but can't shift the range it works in. That's why a Q1 has a hot strip and cooler ends, and why the lowest setting still won't sit low enough to roast anything. This pack replaces both. The Python Burner — heat across the whole plate The flame loops the perimeter and returns through the centre, feeding gas ports directly under the middle of the cooking area. The dead zone goes away.
