A double-sword guppy combining the Japan Blue metallic flank with red sword extensions top and bottom of the tail. One of the more refined show strains. Feeding Quality flake and micro-pellets with some vegetable content, plus frozen daphnia and brine shrimp. Compatibility Peaceful and suitable for most communities. Avoid fin-nippers such as tiger barbs and serpae tetras. Keep two or three females per male so no single female is harassed. Behaviour and personality Constantly active and always on show. Males display to females throughout the day, flaring their fins and posturing. Before you buy Guppies want hard, alkaline water and struggle in soft acidic tanks. A mixed-sex group will produce fry continuously, so either plan for that or keep males only.
