Pink Scooter Dragonet

A dragonet in mottled pink and cream with an oversized sail-like dorsal fin on males. Despite the trade name it is not a blenny. Feeding Feeds almost exclusively on live copepods and amphipods picked from live rock. Most specimens refuse prepared food. A mature system with an established pod population is essential. Compatibility Reef safe and entirely peaceful. One male per tank. Cannot compete with fast feeders. Behaviour and personality Hops slowly across rock and sand, picking constantly all day. Before you buy The most common cause of death is starvation in a tank too young to sustain it. If your system is under a year old, do not buy this fish.
