Black and White Clownfish

A captive-bred ocellaris clownfish in a black-bodied form, the usual orange replaced by deep black against crisp white bars. The same easy fish underneath, in a considerably more dramatic package. Feeding Marine pellets, flake and frozen mysis and brine shrimp. Accepts prepared food readily. Compatibility Reef safe and peaceful. Keep singly or as a bonded pair; two unpaired adults will fight. Mildly territorial around a chosen host. Behaviour and personality Bold, inquisitive and quick to learn feeding routines. Will host in an anemone if present, or adopt a coral or powerhead instead. Before you buy The black colour develops and deepens with age, so juveniles are considerably less black than adults. An anemone is not required and is much harder to keep than the fish.
