TifBlair ® Certified Centipede Centi-Seed® Ecograss™ turfgrass is a more drought tolerant grass and requires less fertilizer. This makes it an ideal grass for today's environmental concerns about water usage, run-off and storm water system management. Characteristics include: A turfgrass for full sun to partial shade TifBlair establishes as a drought-tolerant lawn Heat- and cold-tolerant turfgrass Slow-growing lawn; needs less mowing and is easier to mow Medium green, medium-textured turfgrass Stays greener longer in the fall and greens up earlier in the spring than common Centipede turfgrass Amount Needed: 1 lb. bag will cover up to 4,000 square feet and a 5 lb. bag will cover up to 20,000 sq. ft. Recommended Spreader: For more controlled spreading of seeds, we recommend a hand-held spreader, such as our EV-N-Spred . When to Plant: For zones 8 and colder, it’s too late in the year to safely grow TifBlair Centipede lawns from seed. Frost will be here before we know it!
