When the moon is “new,” it is positioned between Earth and the sun, with the illuminated side of the moon facing away and the shadowed side making it invisible in the night sky. This time of darkness is an opportunity to pause and consider what seeds or intentions you want to plant for the month ahead. This month, the moon becomes new in the airy and often misunderstood sign of Gemini. Gemini is Mercurial, inquisitive and able to hold space for paradox and duality. This new moon gives us a chance to look at things with new perspectives, get out of our comfort zones, make connections and explore all the options. Change is happening everywhere you look and this new moon in Gemini offers us a moment to choose our next adventure! We’ll begin with a brief discussion and prompt for contemplation as we set our intentions for the upcoming lunar cycle.
