Nests of Roving: Contemporary Moves

These 'Mini Fibre Nests' are actually cloud-like balls of hand pulled roving, blended from fine Merino, Silk and Trilobal Fibre in a Sparkle Blend. A special blend of fine Merino Wool, super-soft Alpaca, luxurious hand-dyed Silks and sparkling Trilobal Nylon fibres. All skilfully blended on a hackle and carefully hand-pulled through a Diz, creating this lovely, light and open roving which is then rolled into small balls and is ready to be used in your next creative project. This series of colourways are all inspired by dance music and styles of dance from around the world. This one in the series is called 'Contemporary Moves' - a nod towards the graceful beauty, agility and undeniable strength demonstrated by contemporary dancers, but also to the breathtakingly innovative, sparse stage sets and serene costumes of their performances. Going to the theatre to see a contemporary dance company is always a special treat for our family and we like to savour every minute of the movement and the music while we are there!
