Vintage Decorative Metal-Clad Stool or Pedestal with Hand-Tacked Surface and Patina

This decorative stool or low pedestal features a cylindrical, four-leg form with a round top and base, all clad in thin sheet metal that has been applied over a carved core. The surface is composed of overlapping metal panels secured with visible hand-driven tacks and small fasteners, creating a textured, quilted and patterned appearance across the legs and top. The metal surface shows extensive age-appropriate wear, including surface oxidation, verdigris, darkened patina, small losses, dents, edge lifting, and areas of separation along panel seams.
