Tsimshian Style Paddle depicting Raven, c. 1990 by Cathy Schick, Washington State red cedar, stain, acrylic paint 50" long x 7" wide x 2" deep Cathy Schick created Northwest Coast style wood carving and silkscreen prints throughout the 1990's and early 2000's. She apprenticed under renowned Alaskan Tsimshian artist David A. Boxley. Cathy's style was greatly influenced by the traditional works of the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian peoples.
