Vintage 1950s Dress Blue Wool Button Front Shirtwaister UK S

A vintage 1950s dress made by 'Capsa' from medium weight wool with quite a soft handle in a dusty mid-blue colour. It has an open neck with a huge pointed collar, elbow length sleeves with turn-back cuffs & opens down the front to upper hip level with greyish blue plastic domed buttons; the 4-gore skirt is very flared, with 2 sets of gathers at the front waist above the large patch pockets & gathering & a pleat at the centre back waist. There is a matching belt with self-covered buckle. Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
