Wonderful Vintage 1940s Skirt Bold Novelty Goose Print Geese Ducks UK XS

A superb vintage 1940s skirt, home made from a floppy linen/rayon blend Moygashel-type fabric with a delightful novelty print of geese (or ducks?) in white & red on a pale blue-grey background. It has a deep V-shape to the front waistband, 3 gores at the front with slash pockets set into the seams & 1 gore at the back which are pleated & gathered into the waist. It fastens at the side with poppers & hooks/loops on the waistband. Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description. Size: Suggested UK XS (please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Waist approx: 12 3/4" (32.3cm) Hips: free Length: 26" (66cm) Condition: In excellent condition with light wear overall - on looking inside some of the seam edges are unfinished & have frayed. Has been hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
