Original Vintage 1940s Skirt Bold Novelty Floral Butterfly Print UK S

A cheerful vintage French 1940s skirt, home made from a floppy rayon fabric with a bold novelty border print of flowers & butterflies in mid blue on a white background. Made from one piece gathered into the waist, it fastens at the side with a metal 'Eclair' zip with hooks/loops on the waistband. Size: Suggested UK S (please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Waist: 13" (33cm) Hips: free Length: 26 1/2" (67.3cm) Condition: In very good condition with minor overall surface wear - the waist hooks have rusted slightly - the waist has been enlarged long ago with the addition of an extra piece of petersham inside. Has been hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
