Ceramic Flower - Flower Green 6

A gift for a social worker should hold up on a busy windowsill better than most living plants manage, and Ceramic Flower - Flower Green 6 was made with that durability in mind. This is the third green "Flower" the studio has produced, made mainly to confirm the dye held its color batch to batch, which it did so reliably nobody bothered to photograph it or mention it in a meeting afterward, which after some louder color stories here counts as its own small relief. Every piece is shaped by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio, and the green stays consistent from one flower to the next by design, not luck. It settles onto one hook, demanding no water, no upkeep, no client-facing plant emergency. Chive wall pieces occupy a quiet shelf at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Flower Green 6 among them, a floor below landscape paintings doing considerably more shouting in green.
