Ceramic Flower Medium Teal 1

A gift for an interior designer has to clear a genuinely high bar, and this teal flower exists because the color itself cleared that bar before the shape even mattered. The studio mixed a teal so precise that someone stopped mid-sentence when they saw it come out of the kiln, and there wasn't enough of that dye left over to test on anything beyond one single, medium-sized flower. That flower now holds the singular, slightly tragic honor of being the entire Teal department on its own, with no "Large" or "Small" sibling to keep it company. The color itself shifts across the day, moving from a cooler blue-green in morning light to a deeper jade by evening. This one, like every piece Chive makes, was shaped entirely by hand rather than cast from a repeatable mold. The Art Institute of Chicago has long featured decorative work chosen for exactly that unrepeatable quality. The studio keeps meaning to mix more of this teal. It has not happened yet.
