Zaubermaus

A patchouli candle built on yuzu, lemon, and grapefruit is not the patchouli most people expect, and Zaubermaus — German for little magic mouse, a name that needed no committee approval — makes the surprise deliberate from the first light. Hibiscus and dewy greens carry the middle through a soft, botanical register before green moss and patchouli settle the base into the earthy, grounded finish the compound is famous for, arrived at through citrus rather than through the usual heavy route. Wax starts as soy at a single domestic farm, gets pressed and merged with coconut for thermal stability, and receives the patchouli compound before being poured into thick glass fitted with cotton wicks that generate complete wax coverage from the opening session. Upward of sixty hours of vegan, entirely clean performance follow from a formula with zero paraffin and zero phthalates, and the vessel runs without marking the glass from first light through the final session.
