Retro Blue Robot Ornament

The Retro Blue Robot Ornament comes from the decade when robots were promised to solve everything and hadn't yet been given the chance to prove what solving everything would actually look like in practice — the 1950s, when the future was still a clean, confident concept and chrome was doing most of the optimism's heavy lifting. Hand-painted in blue and silver, its dials, antenna, and boxy little arms are rendered with the same certainty the era had about its own arrival, back before anyone had much reason to doubt any of it out loud. Give this to whoever still carries a piece of that original promise around with them, not naively, but with the part of themselves that got genuinely excited about robots at a young age and simply never let that excitement go, even now.
